What he’s good at:

At 17, Adam had a thought: “I wanted to go into advertising and eventually run my own agency”.  He went to art college and then Goldsmiths to learn his craft and volunteered in the press office at Friends of the Earth.  Then, in 1997, as the Kyoto Summit drew to a close he decided to travel the world.  He wanted to see it while there was still something to see.

After he’d done the world he did a 5 year stint in DM agencies and discovered a problem: he just didn’t want to spend his life selling stuff to people.

Long story short he ended up moving to Australia for a year of exploration and adventure and chanced upon his true calling. He discovered the happy team at Pareto Fundraising, working in the basement of Paul Roberts’ lovely Queenslander house in the Brisbane hills. He brought with him the disciplines of the commercial side and helped them develop a very robust way of working with charity data.

As things developed, he worked with lots of fantastic Australian charities and helped raise millions of dollars for Amnesty International, Medecins Sans Frontieres and the Cancer Council New South Wales, amongst many others.

When, after three years, he eventually returned to the UK he set up the data offering for Bluefrog and had a wonderful time working with Barnardos, The Prostate Cancer Charity, Save the Children, Action Aid, SPANA, Y Care and, of course, the lovely people at Bluefrog. Then he had another thought: “I decided it was time to set up the (non advertising) agency that I had always dreamed of.”
