The Technorati State of the Blogosphere 2010 report is full of interesting insights if you are blogging and want to promote your blog – or your website, for that matter – to a wider audience.

There are also some useful insights about the tools people are using both to blog and to discover blog content, which tell us about web trends in general – such as the possibility of social bookmarking dying out and the upward trend to discover interesting content via Facebook and Twitter instead?

Also interesting to see within this report is the perception of the positive impact that social media had on the international community’s response to the earthquake in Haiti.  The report is split across an introduction and the following three days over which it was published, with several sections, but it’s worth a bit of patience to look through it.
